Disaster recovery and business continuity planning are processes that help organizations prepare for disruptive events-whether those events might include a earth quake or simply a power outage caused by a backhoe in the parking lot. Business continuance planning seeks to prevent interruption of mission-critical services, and to reestablish full functioning as swiftly and smoothly as possible.

Session Summary:
The decisions a leader makes every day are tough enough, what happens when all of the answers are right? In order to resolve right versus right dilemmas, leaders often find themselves brooding, reflecting, and engaging in energetic self-reflection. This program will examine dilemmas that risk professionals and leaders face through a series of real-life scenarios. In discussing the situations presented, attendees will explore the traits of successful leaders and ethical persons to examine similarities and determine desirable traits. In resolving dilemmas, attendees will discuss how barriers impede ethical decisions and how to overcome those barriers. The use of thought provoking case studies will give attendees an opportunity to examine dilemmas from a variety of perspectives. This is an interactive program involving presentation of ethical dilemmas, role playing from different perspectives, and discussion as to the impact of decisions on varying constituents.
