PARMA would like to thank our 2010 Platinum Sponsors

Welcome

PARMA's mission is to provide a unique environment that promotes best practices, professional education, and strategies to manage a broad spectrum of risk.

Please help make next year’s conference as educational, practical, and timely as possible by suggesting instructive sessions you feel would be of particular interest to PARMA’s members. One of PARMA’s objectives is to provide outstanding education for our members. Feedback from previous years indicates our attendees benefit more greatly from the sessions if there is a risk manager participating to provide a common perspective. Associate members submitting sessions, please take this into account and ask a public agency member to contribute to your presentation or if not possible you must have a member Risk Manager as your moderator. Deadline for session submission is March 26, 2010.

See First, Understand First, Act First: Leadership and Preparedness in the 21st Century. Lt. General Russel L. Honoré, US Army (Ret.), was widely hailed by the media as the "Category 5 General" who led Task Force Katrina in the aftermath of the devastating hurricane. A no-nonsense leader and compelling speaker, he shares leadership principles and thought-provoking content for those operating in the "New Normal" - a world where unpredictability and volatility are ever present. In this presentation, he demonstrates how “staying left of the disaster” creates business opportunity and maximizes resources. Possessing a keen sense of situational awareness from his 37-year career and the front lines of the Katrina relief efforts, Gen. Honoré is an authority on getting things done. He connects with audiences on the need to develop a culture of preparedness and how to protect your family, finances, and future. Click on the word more to visit his website.

The 2010 PARMA Keynote Session is generously sponsored by TRISTAR Risk Management.

This year PARMA has created an area for attendees from exhibiting and sponsoring companies to register. Please click on "MORE" to access registration.

PARMA provides a forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas to improve the risk management function of governmental agencies. A further step is available to enhance the sharing of information with risk management professionals through a mentoring program. This program will help those relatively new to risk management to find solutions to their problems. The focus of the program is to match those with professional expertise to those needing direction to perform their risk management assignments. Follow the link below for more information.
